So I’m going to continue with one my favorites in life- glitter!
My BFF and her husband came over the last night of vacation to make dinner for David and I- sweet, right!? They brought over ingredients to make spring rolls, which seems like one of the easiest meal to take bring to a friend’s house and it seems so fancy! You only need to dip the spring roll papers in warm water in a large shallow bowl and they soften up right away. Then wrap them up with your choice of yummy ingredients. They brought over chicken, shredded carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, mint, curry sauce and peanut sauce.
I made sparkling ginger tea. The tea was pretty good, if you like ginger. You chop up a 2 inch piece of fresh ginger (you can keep the skin on) and boil it in 1.5 cups of water for 1 hour. Then strain and add 2 cups of sparkling water and a lemon slice. The ginger tea seems to keep pretty well and then you can add the sparkling water when you are ready to drink. It is pretty ginger-y, so you need to actually like ginger to drink this.
The ginger and sparkling water should work great if you are nauseous or it’s just great with Asian food or a refreshing drink on a hot day!

Anyway, this was supposed to be a craft post, not a recipe post. So, my friend made some pretty champagne glasses with none other than Martha Stewart glitter. This is a glitter I hadn’t seen yet so I am particularly excited about them. It is multi surface glitter acrylic craft paint that is good for plastic, glass, dishwasher safe, weather safe, UV safe and comes in 40 colors. I mean, freakin’ awesome! It’s hard to see the details in this photo but they are super fabulous.
